SF1—Full Body Compound Process
Super Finish’s unique way of paintwork rectification, bringing the paint back to a showroom finish.
• Removes oxidization
• Removes fine/car wash scratches
• Removes tar spots
• Removes Fallout
The SF1 – Full Body Compound process brings the paintwork to showroom condition and comprises the following steps;
Preparation – the vehicle is rinsed to remove any loose dirt and other deposits, it is then given an intensive pH neutral foam bath soak which is left to soften heavier dirt and bug deposits still attached to the surface. This is then rinsed off with a high pressure spray.
Prep-Bar – the vehicle is then gone over with a prep-bar or clay which removes any remaining wax, sealants and contaminants embedded deep into the surface, these elements can interfere with machine polishing. The vehicle is then rinsed again, dried using micro-fibre chamois and high volume air blower. Now automotive bodywork tape is applied to all external rubbers, decals and plastics ready for the polishing process.
Polishing – the condition of the paintwork will determine how many stages of polishing is required.
We use two polishes, the Xpert1000 Ultra Polish and Xpert1500 Hi-Tech finishing polish, which polish is utilised will depend on the initial condition and age of the top clear coat or paint. The vehicle is then finessed using both an orbital and dual action polisher, with one of the polishes, with foam and wool polishing pads.
The result is amazing – the vehicle is free from swirl marks and patternation leaving a gleaming shine ready for a final wash and final protection process.
Protection – the vehicles now has an Xpert Titanium II paint selant applied by hand to give maximum protection from the elements, and then the final luxury application of Xpert Crystal Carnauba Wax to leave an amazing shine.
Finally, the windows are cleaned with Xpert Chrome and Glass cleaner and the tyres are dressed with non-silicon dressing to leave your car looking like it just left the showroom
